Who would have thought that compatibility would be such a big hurdle. So, having developed this site exclusively in Firefox and Chrome, I recently found out that it did not work at all in Internet Explorer. This was quite a problem, as IE is still pretty popular, and who knows what important people may be visiting this site, only to find that it doesn't display anything at all. As computer screens get larger and larger, the currently agonizing problem becomes even greater, as developers consider what to do with the additional real estate. One problem that deserves much consideration is how to scale the information, so the result is acceptable across a wide range of screen resolutions. In the process of developing this site, I was amazed frequently to see the extent to which internet technology has developed.
