So, I've noticed that I haven't been updating this repository of my thoughts. It may be assumed that it means nothing of note has been going on. However, there have been things going on. The problem is to take all these events and to format them in a post/entry format. That, I haven't gotten around to doing. Just as a list, here's the things that have been happening, which I hope to get around to making posts about sometime soon:
1. I started at a new job. It is a refreshing experience, as it comes as a number of firsts - first time being a contractor, first time doing Agile, first time using Perl and DB2, first time using MongoDB at work, first time using a Mac at work, etc. All these are thought-provoking, and I hope to expand on this topic in the near future.
2. I finished putting in vinyl plank flooring at the old house. Now, we just need someone who wants to rent it. The process of putting in the flooring is something I want to make a guide for, because I feel it sure would've helped me in the beginning.
3. My brother bought a new house. I've been helping him move.
4. I've been hanging out with my old co-workers. I really feel blessed to have met all these people throughout the years. These are people I hope to remain in touch with for many years to come. Being sociable has never been one of my defining characteristics; my recent behavior is quite different from the usual. It's not a bad feeling, no.
5. I bought a new pair of dress shoes from Cole Haan. This ushered me into researching shoes, and there's actually quite a bit to it.
6. I recently organized my bookshelves, and inventoried my laptop collection. I have 14 of them. Yep. Making a post about them should be fun.
7. I've been subbing Stephen Chow movies, and I hope to make a guide for doing that too.
Now that I think about it, I do a lot. I suppose, next time someone asks me what my hobbies are... I'll tell them I've got lots of them. Mental note.
