Today, I was working away at WPF (nearing the end of WPF Unleashed), as usual, when I suddenly remembered some of the old funny videos I watched before.  A search on the internet showed that while one particular video survives on Youtube, the site (endword.com) that I had first saw the funny Mentos Commercial about two guys playing card games, is no longer there.

What triggered the shock was that I did find a post about it, dated in 2004.  It has been 6 years.  Half a decade has passed, and to me, it didn't feel that long.  It seems that whenever I listen to music I haven't heard for a long time (Dearest by Ayumi Hamasaki), watch videos I haven't seen for a long time (The Making of Robot Ninja Vengeance 2030), play a game I haven't played in a long time (Chrono Trigger), or go somewhere I haven't been in a long time (my home back in Plano), memories of the past come back, followed by a realization of how much time has passed.  While I wish that some things will never change, I am forced to admit the transient nature of the environment I live in.  That makes me a little bit sad.
