Lot's of things have happened recently.  So many things, in fact, that I didn't have time to post about them.  Now, I will.

It all started at the end of March.  One of my long-time friends (Ed, who I visited in Korea) came back from Korea, after 7 years there.  He lived with me for a week.  It was an interesting time.  We hung out with Joe and Jerry.  We all caught up.  Now, he's taking care of his grandma, and slowly getting back into the swing of things.

My dad retired.  Around Thanksgiving of last year, he had ragequitted, but his boss told him to take two weeks off and go back to work.  So, he did, all the way up until recently.  Now, I suppose, it is time for me to adult permanently.  I've had my fun.

I switched our family (except my brother) over to a new cell phone plan, with unlimited data.  This is the first time we have a real data plan.  It's been a gamechanger, as my cell phone has become a lot more convenient.  After living for so many years without a data plan, it feels really liberating.  It was actually partially caused by my dad retiring.  He had been using his company phone.  When he retired, he no longer had cell phone service.  Originally, we were on T-Mobile, when we all had a family plan of 4 lines.  We were paying around $100 + tax for talk and text.  It came out to being around $25 per person.  When my dad cancelled his line, we were saving $10, making the final cost still around $90 + tax.  I looked into some options, and switched our cell phone to be under Ting.  It was a pay as you go service, but our average bill of three lines was in between $50 to $70 dollars, keeping the $20-25 per person rate we used to have.  That was what we had for the last 3 years.  With my dad retiring, it was time again to look for cell phone plans, to see if things had gotten cheaper with the passage of time.  That was when I found MetroPCS, which, coincidentally, was running a promotion for $50 for 2 lines + either free phones or $70 off any phone.  The interesting thing, tho, was that the plan included 2GB of data per line, but if you go over, they just slow down the speed, but don't charge overage fees.  It was compelling, so I did it.  Unfortunately, since my brother is in Austin, I didn't switch his over; otherwise he wouldn't be able to use his cell phone.

Blizzard made Starcraft 1 free.  I've been re-playing the campaign (beat the original campaign, and working on Brood Wars) and reliving my childhood.  Man, I was a pretty stupid kid.  I kind of can't believe how easy the missions are, and how long I used to take on them, and how I used to think they were really hard.  In fact, I had never played through the entire game until now.  So this is also sort of ticking one more item off my bucket list of things I need to do.  But, the game really is awesome.  I still remember my brother being really excited about the game, and me thinking it was just Warcraft 2 in space.  Man, was I wrong...

My friend got married!  I wasn't invited, but I'm still happy for her.  Another friend got pregnant.  Another friend got married in Taiwan, but hasn't gotten married here yet.  Really, lots of things happened recently.

I hope I didn't miss anything.  I think I got everything.
