This is my first entry using my re-designed site, consisting of Linux (unchanged), modded Apache with Passenger (formerly Apache), MySQL (unchanged), and Ruby on Rails (formerly PHP). So, I suppose you could call this a LAMR(oR) setup. The work experience I've accumulated is really showing, as about a year ago, when I did my first personal website, I could not do this:
See the pretty colors, the different fonts, and other fancy effects?
But, now I can, and a whole lot more, as soon as I figure it out. I've come to learn a lot more about Dojo, and working with it no longer feels like I'm trying to trick it half the time, and hack at it the other half. I can actually use it now with some proficiency. Rails also has become quite different, saving me more time than I spend being frustrated at it. Though, there still are times when I can do nothing besides call on the name of the Lord, but those times are not very frequent anymore, which I suppose could be a bad thing, from the perspective that all of our situations we face are arranged by the Lord in order to hack away our self-reliance, natural capability, trust in ourselves, and disposition, to make room for His divine nature.
Anyways, as I'm getting the hang of things more, work is actually becoming more enjoyable. This is, of course, when I'm not sitting around doing nothing. Nor when I'm neck deep in trying to solve a problem with no success.
