Just been taking it easy the last month. It started during Thanksgiving, when my brother drove up from Austin. We spent four days building puzzles/models I had gotten from Japan during the trip (a swan, a piano, a tower, and a castle), eating turkey, drinking the apple cider he brought, playing video games, playing mahjong with the family, and chatting. It was just great.
Today, we had fire pot at my home, with some friends. We spent the time eating and chatting around the dining table.
Next week, I go to California for David Huang's wedding! I'm also really happy he's finally getting married. Pretty excited about that.
When I'm not doing any of those major things, I'm just chilling with video games and programming side projects. I also finally finished watching Friends, 10 years after it stopped airing... That's one thing on the bucket list to strike off.
I don't know whether this is something everyone experiences, but I feel really happy right now with everything in my life. This is probably what it feels like to win at the game of Life. Or I just have low standards. Either way, I'm pretty happy right now. One thing, though, that I am slowly losing control over is my spending. I have to start keeping it in check.
