I almost forgot. It has been two years since I first brought this site online. In these two years, I've re-written the site once and refined it countless times, adding one feature at a time. I suppose, it has become sort of my playground for testing out whatever the web has to offer, as well as for me to spill whatever I was thinking at the time. Through it all, I've learned a lot, so I suppose this site has been a good thing. Lately, though, I haven't been messing with it with the fervor as in the past. Maybe I've just run out of ideas with what else I would like to tinker with. Anyways, I would like to thank the following tools, and the people behind them, which I rely on heavily:
Ubuntu - for being a stable operating system
Apache - for being an all-around great server
MySQL - for being an adequate database for all my needs
PHP - for being an easy language to pick up
Ruby and Ruby on Rails - for being short and simple for setting up and maintaining the site
Passenger - for saving me the headache on integrating Rails with Apache
Dojo Toolkit - for being full of features
FlashMP3Player - for having the most features I wanted (especially autoresume), out of any free flash mp3 player available
FlowPlayer - for being an easy way to embed Flash movies
Geany - for being a fast and simple IDE
Google - for providing links to answers to most of my questions
ImageMagick - for providing an easy tool for resizing images
ffmpeg - for allowing me to transcode avi videos to flv
and my jobs, for giving me the experience I needed.
